I've been working with kids for about 20 years and have been teaching at Bear Creek since 2010.  I've lived all over the place but settled in Colorado in 1989.  In my engineering days, I spent a lot of time traveling to Japan to set up a manufacturing facility.  When I was a paleobotanist, I spent some time living on a boat in Brazil so that I could compare the living rain forest to the fossil one that we found in Castle Rock, Colorado.  My favorite spot on Earth is probably the tide pools at the end of the road in Pt. Reyes in California. My favorite kids book is A Wrinkle in Time but my favorite adult book is the Hyperion quartet.  I love animals but our dog, Brie, died earlier this year and we have not decided if we will get another pet.
