Robin Norton

    1st grade
I am Robin Norton, First Grade teacher here at Bear Creek Elementary School.
I have been working with children since graduating from UNC in 1986, although... my love of teaching and caring for children has been a calling since I was very young.
Colorado has been home to my family for 3 generations and I am so proud to be a native.  I spent my early years in Kremmling, Lakewood and Louisville and have enjoyed  the wonderful experiences of growing up on a Quarter Horse and Cattle Ranch in the Louisville/Broomfield area.   My husband, son (Beau, 16) and I live in Broomfield with our 2 Ragdoll Cats (Pixie and Pearl).  My biggest travel adventure was at the beginning of my teaching career when I ventured to W. Palm Beach/Jupiter Florida to teach and live near the ocean!  It was a great
learning experience, but my heart brought me back home to Colorado.  My wish is to someday be able to visit the countries of my heritage... Germany/Russia, Ireland and France.
One of my favorite parts of teaching is being able to share and enrich learning through quality literature.  I collect picture books and especially love all books by Jan Brett.  I love reading so many special stories aloud to my class every day.  I feel very blessed to have been born with the love of teaching!
